When upgrading or replacing the DISH receiver or buttons of DISH remote is not working (Power and Volume button works). Follow the below steps to program DISH Network Remote Control to DISH Receiver.
Steps to program DISH Network Remote Control
Step 1:
On the front panel of DISH Network receiver, press the SYSTEM INFO button.
Step 2:
On the front or side of your DISH remote, press the SAT button. You should hear three ascending tones.
Step 3:
Press the CANCEL or Back button. Congratulations! you have successfully programmed the DISH Remote to the Receiver.
If system info is not cleared on the screen, follow the steps below to Reset the Remote, then repeat steps 1-3 from above.
Steps to Reset DISH Network Remote Control
Step 1:
On the front panel of DISH Network receiver, press the SYSTEM INFO button.
Step 2:
Using the arrows on the front panel of DISH Network receiver, arrow to and select Unpair.
