After you have the 3 digit remote code for your TV – Program the remote…
– Press PGM (program) on the remote control
– The signal indicator on it remains lit
– Enter the 3 digit TV remote code with the number keys
– Press OK for confirmation
– The signal indicator will be on when the program is done
– Press the volume keys on the remote to be sure you can control volume
– Your remote should now be programmed
If the remote does not control your TV, try another remote code for your TV brand.
If the signal indicator remains lit after blinking four times then you have entered the wrong code.
Make sure you have correctly entered the code for your TV brand.
If you can use your TV remote control to turn on your TV set, select input source and control the volume.
RCA Digital Converter Box Troubleshooting tips:
Weak signal or channel not available
-Try to reposition the antenna.
-If the signal is still weak, a more powerful antenna may be required to boost reception for the Digital TV signal.
-A Smart Antenna is recommended.
Smart Antenna is newly connected and channel scan is required
-In the menu, press 5 for Settings and then press 1 for Channel Scan.
TV cannot receive analog channels
-Turn on the converter box (pass through mode) and be sure cables are connected correctly.
Unit does not work
-Unplug the AC power cord and plug it back in.
No picture on the TV screen
-Make sure the converter box is turned on.
-Make sure the connections between the converter box and TV are properly done.
-Choose different channels or video inputs on the TV set until the picture appears.
No sound
-Make sure the connections between the converter box and TV are properly done.
-Make sure the TV sound is not muted.
Remote control does not work
-Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly.
-Replace the batteries if they are exhausted.
-Remove any obstacles between the remote control and the converter box.
The Converter Box has turned off suddenly
-Check if Auto Power Down Timer is activated in the main menu. (It is set to 4 hours by default.)
Cannot watch a bilingual TV program in its secondary language
-Make sure you have correctly selected the audio settings.
Forgot password
-Choose “Ratings” in the main menu and input the master password “3308”.
-Create a new password. (The master password cannot be used to unlock programs for viewing.)
