how to fix when Vizio Television Won't Respond to Remote Control Commands
The Vizio Television SV472XVT responds intermittently to remote commands for mute and volume yet seems to respond ok for VIA (menu for apps) and TV settings. If you have the original Vizio TV remote, a Comcast X1 remote and a Harmony remote and all give the same results so it is the TV that is the problem.
Try unplugging the TV and restart it. if you haven't reset to factory defaults because the picture is calibrated and you like it. Input is by HDMI cable from an AVR receiver.
